Introduction#

This page refers to the Kanboard software, hosted by AgileAS at https://kanboard.okit.de/.

Getting Started#

1. log in at https://kanboard.okit.de/
2. add a new project: click New private project
3. choose a nice name, for example Test Project

Perfect - your own first project is created!

1. click Board
2. clock the + symbol at the column you would like to add a task
3. add the data you know about your new task, for example the title evaluate taskboard, estimated with 0.1 hours
   if you like, add a Start Date and a Due Date - this will place your task at the right place in the Gantt chart
4. click Save

Congrats - your first task is born!

1. use your mouse to drag and drop your task to the column Work in Progress, because you already operate this task
2. use the Menu to change into another view; there you will always have control over the status of your project

All the rest should be obvious. Please also have a look at the manual of the Taskboard.

If you would like to have an introduction with your team, please come back to us. We would love to have a Workshop on site with your team.

Erste Schritte#

1. logge dich ein unter https://kanboard.okit.de/
2. lege ein eigenes Projekt an: klicke auf Neues privates Projekt
3. wähle einen netten Namen, zum Beispiel Test-Projekt

Perfekt - du hast dein erstes Projekt!

1. klicke auf Pinnwand
2. klicke auf das +-Zeichen vor der Spalte, in der Du einen Task anlegen möchtest
3. gib die Dir bekannten Daten für einen neuen Task ein; zum Beispiel den Titel Taskboard kennenlernen, Aufwand 0.1 Stunden
   wenn du magst, kannst du ein Anfangs- und ein Fälligkeits-/Enddatum angeben. Dann taucht der Task später an der richtigen Stelle im Gantt-Chart auf
4. klicke auf Speichern

Hurra - deine erste Aufgabe!

1. nimm die Maus und schiebe die Aufgabe in die Spalte In Arbeit, denn Du bist ja gerade dabei diese Aufgabe zu berarbeiten
2. wechsle über das Menü in eine andere Ansicht, zum Beispiel Analyse; dort erhältst Du jederzeit Zugriff auf den Zustand Deines Projektes

Der Rest sollte selbst erklärend sein. Bitte schau auch in die Doku des Taskboards.

FAQ#

Is a Gantt chart available?

Yes, it is. Just click on the Gantt button on top of your project. If you are lacking the manager role in this project, the analytics and the Gantt chart may be limited or wont show up at all.

Is a calendar view available?

Yes it is. Once you add the start date to a task, it will pop up in the calendar at the appropriate date.

Is a burndown chart available?

Yes it is. Inside your project go to Menu -> Analytics -> Burndown chart and choose the appropriate dates.

Does it support estimation poker?

Yes it does, as it supports a Complexity for the task. Once an effort is estimated, you also may analyze the estimated vs. actual time.

Does it support effort estimations?

Yes it does. It supports an estimated time in tasks and subtasks. Adding subtasks with estimations will sum up in the total estimation. You may control the estimates vs. actial time spent in the Analytics section.

Does it support mobile devices?

Yes, the web application is responsive in that way.

Does it support custom project roles and per user restrictions?

Yes it does. You may add individual roles and assign constraints to what they are able to do with tasks.
